Sustainable Cosmetics Summit Europe

Cosmed is a partner of the 18th Sustainable Cosmetics Summit Europe. The new edition will take place in Paris on 27–28 October 2026, bringing together senior executives from across the cosmetic and personal care industry to explore the latest sustainability challenges, innovations, and business opportunities.

This year’s summit will focus on green ingredients, supply chains, and customer impacts. For the first time, the summit will discuss how geopolitical developments, sustainability regulations, climate change, and other factors are reshaping raw material sourcing and the future of sustainable beauty.

As supply chains become increasingly volatile, organisations are seeking new ways to build resilience while meeting ambitious sustainability goals. The summit will explore the environmental and social risks facing ingredient suppliers, the role of emerging technologies, and how biotechnology, green chemistry, and artificial intelligence are accelerating the development of sustainable ingredients.

The programme will also explore the changing relationship between consumers and sustainable beauty. With economic pressures continuing to influence purchasing decisions, delegates will discuss how brands can encourage sustainable consumer behaviour, communicate environmental benefits, and promote the responsible use and disposal of cosmetic and personal care products.

Since 2009, the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit has been discussing core sustainability issues in the beauty industry. Organised by Ecovia Intelligence, the summit brings together brand owners, ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, certification bodies, NGOs, researchers and other key stakeholders to debate major industry issues to build a sustainable beauty industry.

The Sustainable Beauty Awards will once again be co-hosted alongside the summit on 27 October 2026, recognising organisations that are driving sustainability and innovation across the global beauty industry.

The European edition forms part of the international Sustainable Cosmetics Summit series, which also takes place in North America (New York, 10–11 June 2027), Latin America (São Paulo, 24–25 November 2027), and the Asia-Pacific region.
