About the position (Wavre – Belgium, St Malo – France, Toulouse – France)
The Account Manager handles a portfolio of customer’s accounts and is responsible for the overall project management hand in hand with the Scientific and Regulatory Departments. Beyond the pure project management aspects of the position, the Account Manager also has to work as an interface between clients and experts and plays an important commercial role with the clients of its portfolio.
This function requires a very good sense of organization (project management skills), a great flexibility, the ability to handle pressure and the capacity to react promptly when necessary (although nothing can replace proactivity). Therefore, fast learning skills and independence are also strategic skills to hold this position. Simple technical assets are not enough to do this job properly as this position in the company also requires a great sense of empathy, patience, and dedication to the client.
An Account Manager is before everything a communicator with an excellent command of English and, ideally, of other languages, who never hesitates to call its clients (with whom he/she maintains a personal and friendly relationship)
About the profile
The successful candidate will be accountable for managing a client portfolio and related projects according to well-defined methods / procedures and via the use of specific IT tools.
Beyond projects management, the successful candidate will also be involved in commercial operations, which includes sales prospecting in his/her client portfolio and participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions.
Beyond the teamwork necessary within the Account Management department, the successful candidate will build effective relationships with the Scientific, Regulatory and Sales Departments to address clients’ questions and expectations. The Account Manager is, before everything else, client’s advocate.
The successful candidate is capable of empathy and will always look for solutions to assist the clients under his/her responsibility.
The successful candidate has a good understanding of regulatory affairs or are willing to learn. A senior Account Manager is able to answer a good fraction of questions asked by his/her clients.
About the candidate
The successful candidate will have an excellent command (written and spoken) of English and French. Skills in another language is definitely a plus.
Ideally, the successful applicant will hold a degree in science of management, or any other discipline related to project management, communication, or sales.
2-6 years of relevant professional experience is required.
The successful applicant will work and learn fast, have a good sense of priorities and organization, be flexible to react promptly in all situations, be able to work in team or independently.
