October 2000 : Creation of the association by 12 companies.

Decembre 2003 : The regional association became national - The www.cosmed.fr website is created.

July 2004 : 140 members - Creation od the regulatory datebase : COSMED Watch

July 2006 : 226 members

July 2008 : 420 members - Oraganization of the first Mediterranean Congress of Cosmetology

October 2009 : Cosmed implements its headquarters in the City of Cosmetics in Marseille - Cosmed celebrates its 500th members.

The French governement plans to simplify administrative procedures to make the exportation of cosmetics and from January 1st 2010, Cosmed will be able to issue the certificates of free-sale (CVL's).
