Cosmed, the first french association for cosmetics companies, has published the first White Paper on energy in the cosmetics sector, an unprecedented resource to support companies in this industry in their energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result of collaborative work with lawyer Corinne Lepage, founder of Huglo Lepage Avocats and former French Minister for the Environment, this book offers companies a comprehensive overview of current energy issues. It provides a comprehensive and operational overview of the obligations, deadlines and possible penalties associated with current and future energy regulations, and sets out the actions that need to be taken to help businesses make the transition to a low-carbon economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Changing the energy system is no longer an option, but a necessity, initiated by the public authorities through new regulations. As a major economic player, the cosmetics sector has a duty to play a full part in this transition” says Jean-Marc Giroux, President of Cosmed.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

At a time when the French government is unveiling its roadmap for energy and the climate up to 2050, reaffirming the objective of moving away from fossil fuels, this White Paper comes at just the right time. To achieve these ambitious goals, France is committed to moving forward on two fronts: reducing consumption through energy sobriety and efficiency, and massively developing the production of low-carbon energy. The cosmetics sector, like others, is directly affected by these crucial developments and the many regulations that accompany them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
